Itinerary
  • Day 1 - Arrival to QAIA

Welcome to Jordan! Upon your arrival, our representative will be awaiting you at the airport and facilitate your free visa process. After you collect your baggage, he will accompany you to your English-speaking driver. Your driver will then transfer you to your hotel in Amman and assist you with the check-in process.

  • Day 2 - Amman City Tour, Fine Arts Gallery, and Beit Sitti Cooking Lesson

Today, your driver and guide will show you around Amman's historical sites like the Citadel and Roman Theater. You'll stroll through the lively fruit and vegetable market, have lunch at a traditional falafel spot, and visit the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts. After that, your driver can take you back to your hotel or you can explore downtown Amman on your own. Later in the afternoon, you'll head to Beit Sitti, which means 'My Grandmother's House' in Arabic. Here, you'll have a fun cooking experience where you'll learn to make a four-course Jordanian meal.

  • Day 3 - Jerash, Ajloun Castle, and Orjan Village

Your driver and guide will transport you from your hotel to Jerash, one of the largest Roman cities in the Middle East. You'll explore the impressive ruins, including notable landmarks like Hadrian's Arch and the hippodrome, where ancient chariot races took place. Continuing north, you'll visit Ajloun Castle, constructed by the nephew of the renowned Arab general Saladin. After your castle tour, you'll be escorted to our friend's residence in the nearby village of Orjan. Following a welcoming tea session with the family, you'll embark on an afternoon hike along a segment of the Jordan Trail, led by your host, Abu Mahmoud. Upon your return, you'll have the opportunity to bond with the family as you assist in preparing and partake in a home-cooked dinner. For accommodation, you'll spend the night in designated guest quarters within their home, offering private bedrooms with shared bathroom facilities. Though the amenities are basic, rest assured, they are clean and comfortable.

  • Day 4 - Wadi Mujib and the Dead Sea

After saying bye to your new friends, your driver will take you down the pretty Dead Sea Highway. Stop for a hike at Wadi Mujib, a cool canyon. You can walk through the gorge to a waterfall (it takes about 2 hours). Depending on the time of year, you might get wet, so don't bring your cameras! Then your driver will take you to your Dead Sea resort. There, you can float in the sea, chill by the pool, or get a spa treatment.

  • Day 5 - Mt. Nebo, Madaba, Kerak Castle, and the Dana Biosphere

This morning, your driver will take you to Mt. Nebo, believed to be the place where Moses saw the Holy Land before he passed away. On a clear day, you can see Jericho from across the valley. You'll also have the chance to visit the chapel on-site, dating back to the 5th century.

Next, you'll head to Madaba, known for its mosaic map of the Holy Land from the 6th century. You'll explore the Archaeological Park, which features the ruins of several Byzantine Churches and other sites from the same period.

Continuing southward, you'll make a stop in Karak to visit one of the largest crusader castles in the region. Take your time to explore this impressive structure. In the afternoon, you'll explore the natural beauty of the Dana Biosphere Reserve on a hike with a local guide who grew up there (1-2 hours). Dana is Jordan's largest nature reserve, home to diverse plant and wildlife from three continents. Tonight, you'll stay at the Dana Guesthouse, which sits on a cliff and offers stunning views of the reserve.

  • Day 6 - Petra’s Siq Trail, Treasury, and Royal Tombs

After breakfast, head to Petra, recognized as one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. Today, you'll embark on a guided tour of the main sites, starting from the main gate. Petra's blend of natural beauty and remarkable engineering is truly astonishing. Your journey will begin through the Siq, a mile-long canyon that leads to the Treasury, Petra's iconic carved facade. Your guide will lead you to explore the Royal Tombs and other significant sites (guided tour lasts for 4 hours). Once the guided tour concludes, you'll have free time to further explore this ancient city on your own.

  • Day 7 - Petra’s High Place of Sacrifice and Wadi Farasa Trail

Today, you'll explore an alternative route in Petra, ascending to the High Place of Sacrifice and continuing along the Colonnade Street of Petra and the Wadi Farasa trail. Wadi Farasa is a favorite hike in Petra, often quiet with few travelers. It offers a glimpse into Petra's private and hidden past. Along the descent, you'll pass by several stunning and secluded facades and carvings, including the Lion Monument—a fountain carved in the shape of a lion, the Roman Soldier's Tomb with three carved statues, and the Garden Triclinium, a simple cave used for annual feasts. Exiting Wadi Farasa, you'll traverse an area believed to be the location of Nabatean homes, where ancient pottery shards, some with remnants of intricate paintings, can be found underfoot. Your journey will eventually lead you to the end of the Colonnade Street, from where you'll return via the main trail to the main gate of Petra.

  • Day 8 - Wadi Rum Jeep Tour and Overnight

After breakfast, you'll journey to the Mars-like landscape,Wadi Rum. Accompanied by our knowledgeable Bedouin guide, you'll embark on a jeep tour through the nature reserve, where you'll gain insight into his deep appreciation for the desert. Enjoy a lunch break with your guide and engage in an afternoon hike, scaling sandstone boulders for a unique experience. Later, your guide will escort you to a luxurious campsite where you'll have the opportunity to witness the stunning sunset.

  • Day 9 - Aqaba and the Red Sea

After enjoying breakfast at your Wadi Rum camp, your driver will transfer you to Aqaba, where you'll check into your resort overlooking the Red Sea. The remainder of the day is yours to unwind, whether you choose to relax or arrange a snorkeling or diving excursion with one of the local operators.

  • Day 10 - Departure

You'll have the morning to relax at your hotel and enjoy the beach. Later, your driver will pick you up and drive you to Queen Alia International Airport, ensuring you arrive 3 hours before your scheduled departure. Please note: Today's drive will take approximately 4 hours, not including stops. (Hotel: none; Meals: breakfast)
